Great in an aero garden! Practically every red romaine seed germinated!
Update a couple of months later - great success with these seeds in an aero garden! It doesn’t seem like much but my wife and I have about a salad a week if we tend the plants and trim them properly. Full disclosure- Some of the pods are a second planting and two are from another seed pack but these almost grow too well in a hydroponic system - as you can see they overflow the growing area considerably. ———— Bought red romaine seeds from the Ohio Heirloom Seed Store. I couldn’t be happier! All the seeds came in a single envelope and it didn’t look like 2000+ seeds so I would recommend don’t judge till you open the envelope. I had a poor previous experience with another company so I planted 3-4 seeds per pod in an aero garden. Just a few days later I noticed that there were several sprouts in every pod! I’d recommend only planting 1-2 seeds wherever you want a plant bc now I’ve got a crowd in all the pods lol. Two thumbs up! The picture is after approx 10-14 days.

Made it right
Package was to contain 2000 seeds. Package contained 826 seeds. Called Ohio Heirloom Seeds. The gentleman was very accommodating and agreed to send me another package. Extremely nice and professional.

Grows fast
I was surprised to see how quickly the lettuce seeds grew. My husband emptied the entire packet so we had to pull and throw away a lot of suckers due to lack of space. Had my first salad from this batch last night and I’m really happy with the taste. The only drawback is that the lettuce leaves are extremely thin!!! Overall I’m happy with this purchase. The seller was very responsive too. When I contacted them after not receiving the seeds in time, they sent another pack which came rather quickly.

Disappointing germination.
I am very disappointed with the germination rate with most of these seed varieties. In our trials only the Martha Stewart brand did worse. Surprisingly the 25 cents a pack seeds from Dollar Tree had a very good germination rate. Best performance from all points of view was the Stover brand. They also had a lot of useful information printed on the packet. Next year we will only use Stover and those from Dollar Tree - their spinach and wild flowers are excellent. I think that Ohio Heirloom Seeds should take the trouble of printing more information on their labels. I checked their listings on Amazon for best plantings times, spacing etc. but it was still incomplete. Jiffy seed compost was used for all the trials and the weather conditions in Southern Arizona have been perfect this Spring. The raised beds all used the the same medium. I will use the remaining seeds in the Fall and update these comments if I have more success but for the time being I cannot recommend them.

Good germination. Growing well so far in my mini hydroponic garden. I do love FRESH lettuce.
I bought these seeds for my VegeBox countertop hydroponic garden. I planted a couple seeds in each plug and got good germination. I culled down to one plant per plug and the plants are doing well so far. These pictures are a bit over 2 weeks. Looks like I will have lettuce for my sandwiches soon.

Best Red Romaine I have grown
These seeds have been working for me through several plantings this spring and now into fall. We have had a tough summer - very hot - but this lettuce has done well on my porch in vertical planters with a few hours of direct sun. Good yield. Good taste. I will buy them again.
