Puri Tandoor Oven - SS2 Deluxe - Large Home Tandoor - Charcoal Fired - 25 Person Capacity

I usually do not write reviews, but this item deserves it. I had been thinking about getting a tandoor for a few years, didn’t know where to get it from. Finally it became available on Amazon. It was delivered in a timely fashion within 7 business days of the order, since it’s very heavy thus it had to be shipped via ground delivery. The packing was excellent, very securely packed and it took me sometime to unpack a beautiful tandoor. It’s probably the best looking tandoor I have seen so far. One of my friends called it Bentley of Tandoors. The inside is clay, no cracks visible at the time of unpacking. It’s great for preserving flavors. The outside is steel, it’s not cheaply built. It’s finished well, looks elegant in the backyard. The kebabs, tikkas and rotis taste awesome. I would recommend using restaurant grade charcoal because it’s hotter and burns longer. I use Jealous Devil brand, sold on Amazon. I had made a shorter stand (compared to one that comes with the tandoor) it’s perfect for cooking with clay pots. I have cooked dal, saag etc and there is no match with the flavors we get in a tandoor. Highly recommend this product if you like traditional styles of cooking.

i wish stoppers for the skewers were part of the package. Meat burns without them.
