Everyone needs to be be affirmed. Especially teens. Now you have no excuse! ;)
Fun, neat way to give/send kudos to your kid. Often they don't let you hug them (even tho they secretly like it) & they get embarrassed if you get mushy. But they still need to hear that you're proud of them. You love them. You're crazy about them. You would choose them all over again. Absolutely they probably will be embarrassed when they pulled this out of the lunchbox with all their friends around. I figure I went through intense, painful labor to bring them info this world, so they can handle a little embarrassement. But seriously, you don't have to put it as public as a lunchbox. A pillow. Medicine cabinet. Purse. Words & affirmation come harder for some people to express. If you're that kind of parent/g'parent/mentor/role-model, this is perfect. And this is also a good option with teens since one-on-one can be more uncomfortable for some. In this form, less attention is on them, therefore less threatening

Depressing notes for Teens and Tweens
I have used the Lunchbox Love cards for years and adored them, but when my daughter turned eleven I thought I would move up these. My daughter summed up these cards better than I ever could, she said, "Mom, they all make me sound like a loser" and she is right. These cards say things like, 'no matter what you do I still love you, keep trying, be patient, and I'm sorry we fought'. I had a hard time picking a card to give her each day as they were all so depressing.

Pretty darn depressing for lunch time.
These aren't all positive like other varieties of the Lunchbox love notes, which I have very much loved in the past. I mean they're nice sentiments but many of them are downers for a time like lunch..Like "I'm sorry we fought" .."Nobody's perfect " .."I'm sorry I was cranky" .. "Sometimes parents make mistakes too. I'm sorry. ". Lots of apologizing and complimenting for good behavior that is reminding them that sometimes it isn't good, like "Thanks for being honest." And "Thanks for waking up in a good mood." So I mean if you're having trouble with your kids and are looking for a way to bring up these troubles at their lunch time, then these are for you. There are some really good ones in here but the bad outweighs the good. I bought all 4 volumes and some of the same cards are repeated in different volumes, and all follow the same notion that tweens and teens are so difficult that even their lunch notes should reflect it. If you're looking for straight sunny and cheerful, these are not for you.

Great, Positive Notes to Make Your Kids Feel Confident and Loved
The boxes arrived quickly and the notes are a wonderful way to give your child a positive message in the middle of the day. We put them in our 14 and 11 years olds' lunches and they really enjoy the notes.

Great for 7+, tweens & teens
These are great for tweens and even slightly younger children who can read. Many have inspirational quotes on the back.

Good but not for Laughs
I liked these but as a commenter mentioned before some of these are depressing. Some say things like "You're Beautiful Inside and Out" and others say things about fighting with parents, sorry for saying mean things etc. I do like them but they are really, really deep. If you're looking for something lighthearted these are not your cards.
